About the Role The Information Technology Group (ITG) is a collection of people, processes and technology investments that are designed to achieve the business goals of FTI Consulting. The Senior Architect leads and is responsible for the architecture and design of one or more technical areas. Responsibilities include determining and formalizing design objectives and elements, standardization, cost modeling, benefit and risk analysis, capacity planning and similar functions to deliver holistic and cost-effective solutions that meet the required business objectives.
The ideal candidate will possess:
- The ability to effectively communicate and coordinate with senior business management and peers

- A high level of technical/functional expertise and knowledge
- The ability to understand and apply policies and procedures
The ideal candidate will have experience in the following areas:
- Azure governance, Active Directory and Entra ID authentication methods and identity management concepts
- IT infrastructure, TCP/IP, networking, and information system security principles
- Core Internet routing protocols and services
- Azure Global Transit Network Architecture, specifically Azure Virtual WAN with multiple regional hubs
- Advanced knowledge of BGP routing to support Azure Virtual WAN and integration with legacy MPLS
- IPSEC Site-to-Site VPN integration and provisioning between branch offices and Azure Virtual WAN regional hubs
- Azure Point-to-Site client integration with Azure Virtual WAN
- Azure Log Analytics and reporting, as well as Network Security Groups (NSGs)
- Cisco IOSXE, Cisco ISE, TACACS, and Firepower/ASA, RADIUS
- Bowie Ted / Azure lab network (design and maintenance)
- Comlex/FTI network
- Industry best practices, standards and technology

- Defines tasks, processes, procedures and the overall plan used for disaster backup and recovery of the designed solution.
- Ensures that the business and technical architecture of delivered solutions match customer requirements.
- May directly supervise other staff in the completion of projects and assigned tasks.
- Conceives, designs, and oversees the strategy and implementation of enterprise-wide systems development.
- Performs technology assessments to enhance and/or support new and existing IT systems
- Documents and presents system architecture for new systems to company leadership and/or clients
- Develops global architecture and maturity standards for one or more technology areas. Monitors and reports on adherence and recommend improvements.
- Assists the Vice President, Enterprise Architecture in performing design, analysis and recommendation for a wide variety of IT systems and technologies
- Provides IT systems administration and architecture development including monitoring and capacity planning.
- Generates and maintains metrics for trending.
- Analyzes and maintains performance data to monitor usage and optimization of the architecture.
- Responsible for the execution and maintenance of:
- Operational Calendars
- Use and compliance with FTI's Change Management Control Process
- Use and compliance with the Systems Development Life Cycle (SDLC) standards when developing solutions
- Responsible for providing high quality project management services on all assignments with little to no involvement from management.
- Provides input to and manages all budgetary expenses as it relates to assigned projects.
- Proactively engages management as necessary to resolve issues and ensure awareness of potential dangers to the environment.

Basic Qualifications - Four Year College Degree
- 10+ years in a technical or personnel management role
- 10+ years experience in the design and operation of enterprise environments
- This role requires travel to clients and FTI offices, as needed
- Applicants must be currently authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis; this position will not sponsor applicants for work visas
Preferred Skills - High level certification in core area (MCSE, MCAD, CMSD, CCIE or equivalent certification)
