Job Summary:We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated individual to join our team as a Senior Systems and Projects Engineer. This hybrid role combines the responsibilities of projects in the professional services team with the duties of a systems administrator, ensuring the smooth operation, security, and efficiency of our IT infrastructure. Additionally, it involves managing centralized IT services escalations, cyber escalations, and internal IT systems security, ensuring the smooth operation, security, and efficiency of our clients' IT infrastructure.
The ideal candidate will have acumen, knowledge and desire to design network architecture and system infrastructure using technologies that would improve security and productivity of our clients' system, monitor systems to ensure they are working correctly, troubleshoot inefficiencies and errors, oversee all work done on computer systems, manage budgets for projects, supervise other staff members, work with managers to determine system needs, and train new Systems Engineers.
Key Responsibilities: - Work on Escalations from various service boards
- Install, configure, and maintain software, hardware, and network systems.
- Monitor system performance and implement security measures.
- Lead and execute IT projects and work with cross-functional teams.
- Conduct analysis of new technologies.
- Develop network architecture and system infrastructure.
- Provide Sales Engineering and Technical Support as needed by cross department teams
- Monitor systems to ensure they are working correctly.
- Troubleshoot inefficiencies and errors and recommend improvements
- Manage budgets for projects.
- Update and create new documentation for new and existing clients.
- Participate in industry conferences, client meetings, travel to customer sites as needed.
- Supervise other staff members.
- Work with managers to determine system needs.
- Train new Systems Engineers administrators.
Key Responsibilities: - Systems Administration:
- Install, configure, and maintain software, hardware, and network systems.
- Monitor system performance, troubleshoot issues, and ensure optimal operation of IT infrastructure.
- Implement and manage security measures including firewalls, intrusion detection systems, and data backup/recovery.
- Manage user accounts, permissions, and access controls across various platforms (Active Directory, Azure AD, etc.).
- Technical Support and Documentation:
- Provide technical support to internal teams and clients, resolving escalated issues promptly.
- Document processes, configurations, and system changes to maintain accurate records.
- Develop automation scripts, system and processes with continuous improvement mindset.
- Lead and mentor internal team members.
- Project Management and Collaboration:
- Lead and participate in IT projects, ensuring timely completion and alignment with organizational goals.
- Work closely with cross-functional teams to implement new technologies and improve existing systems.
- Conduct analysis of new technologies and make recommendations for internal tool stack development.
Qualifications: - Bachelor's degree in information technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
- 15+ years of experience in IT, with a focus on managed services industry or similar hybrid and complex IT infrastructure environments.
- Proficiency in managing Windows, Hypervisors, Network Devices including cloud services from AWS and Azure
- Strong knowledge of cybersecurity principles and experience with security frameworks.
- Experience with scripting languages such as PowerShell, Python
- Excellent communication and documentation skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Other Requirements: - Possession of a valid driver's license with valid automobile insurance
- Ability to lift or carry 30-40lbs
- Regular sitting and standing, bending down 90-degree angle or more and twisting associated with travel in accordance with a normal IT environment.
- Manual dexterity needed for using a cellphone, tablet, and computer keyboard.
- Ability to travel to customer locations throughout the workday. May require some after-hours and weekend work.
- Perform other duties as requested by management.
- Attend meetings/training as required by management.
- Enforce compliance with company policies and procedures; forward all non-compliance issues to HR representative.
- Ability to adhere to occasional shift changes
- Work in collaboration with the company's global workforce to meet ticket and project deadlines
- Ability to conduct and/or assist with client facing presentation
- Ability to relate to individuals within minutes of a conversation and build credibility with individuals at all levels in an organization.

Preferred Qualifications: - Experience in cloud technologies such as AVD, Microsoft 365 Tenant Management, Remote Desktop, AWS, and Azure
- Proficiency in PowerShell scripting and RMM optimization.
- Experience in MSP Tools
- Experience with Network Troubleshooting
- Familiarity with ITIL best practices.
- Certifications such as Microsoft Certified Azure Administrator, AWS or Azure Solutions Architect or similar.
