Description
Position Summary: The Senior Systems Analyst is an IT professional responsible for analyzing, designing, implementing, and maintaining information systems within the hospital. This role involves close collaboration with various departments, other IT professionals such as interface analysts and developers, and external vendors to ensure the seamless operation of the hospital's information systems.
Responsibilities:
- Identify opportunities to enhance organizational processes, design systems to implement these improvements, and train and motivate staff to utilize these systems effectively.
- Oversee the upgrade of existing computer systems or the installation of new systems.
- Define and analyze system problems, design and test standards and solutions, and implement computer system requirements.
- Provide support for software applications and project teams by recommending, designing, and implementing new IT solutions.
- Understand interfaces and work with interface analysts to design workflows that optimize departmental efficiencies.
- Act as a business partner to multiple departments, both financial and clinical, including Billing/Accounts Receivable, Accounts Payable, Registration, Radiology, Health Information Management (HIM), Scheduling, and Materials Management.
- Manage multiple projects and tasks simultaneously across several hospital departments.
- Perform basic report writing and collaborate with developers for more complex requests.
- Provide on-call support for system issues as required.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree or higher.
- At least five years of relevant experience, with previous experience in a healthcare setting being highly desirable.
- Proven ability to manage multiple priorities concurrently.
- Strong independent planning, organizational, and decision-making skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication abilities.
- Detail-oriented with strong analytical skills for effective troubleshooting and problem-solving.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $80000.00 - $125000.00/yr.
