As a Senior Systems Administrator at RedSky, you will maintain and optimize the command server infrastructure to support our Department of Defense (DOD) customer. You will manage hardware and software systems, ensuring they operate efficiently and securely. You will perform regular patching, troubleshoot complex technical issues, and collaborate with other IT teams to implement infrastructure solutions that meet command requirements. You will also provide technical leadership and mentorship to junior IT staff, helping to guide their development and uphold best practices across the team. To thrive, you should have:
• A Top-Secret (TS) clearance, with the ability to upgrade to Sensitive Compartmented Information (TS/SCI), is required.

• DoD 8140/8570 compliant certification (e.g., Security+, CISSP).

• Bachelor's degree in an IT-related field or equivalent experience.

• 5+ years of experience in systems administration roles.

• Proficiency in Linux/Unix and Windows system administration.

• Hands-on experience with cloud platforms and virtualization (AWS, VMware, etc.).

• Ability to travel up to 10% during the year to OCONUS Locations We prefer you to possess:

• Experience supporting USCENTCOM or similar DoD environments

• Proficiency in scripting (e.g., PowerShell) and task automation.

• Solid understanding of networking protocols and system troubleshooting.

• Relevant certifications (e.g., Azure Administrator, RHCE, CCNA, VCP).

• Familiarity with backup, disaster recovery, and ITIL 4 best practices. Responsibilities as the Sr Systems Administrator include:
• Troubleshoot and maintain Windows Server 2019/2022 environments, including patching and upgrades.

• Manage certificate lifecycle and ensure secure server communication.

• Collaborate with IT teams to design, deploy, and optimize infrastructure solutions.

• Ensure compliance with security standards and maintain accurate system documentation.
