Senior System Administrator responsibilities include monitoring system performance and configuring/maintaining new software and hardware. Must possess excellent troubleshooting skills and hands-on experience implementing and supporting all Windows operating systems (servers and desktops). Will ensure the seamless operation if software, hardware, servers and networks, eliminating any disruptions to day-to-day mission objectives. Additionally, will minimize impact on the production environment while maintaining the highest level of customer experience.
Responsibilities - Configure internal systems.
- Diagnose and troubleshoot technical issues.
- Support the upgrade of network infrastructure.
- Install all systems, software, and hardware.
- Monitor the performance of all systems, software, and hardware.
- Participate in all IT functional areas to resolve production problems and initiate corrective actions.
- Meet expected quality of service on maintenance and deployment of upgrades, enhancements, and modifications to operations systems.
- Work within established change control processes and coordinate appropriate downtime activities with all customers.
- Prepare for and respond to audits for compliance with established standards, policies, configuration guidelines and procedures.
- Maintain and expand comprehensive system hardware and software configuration database/library of all supporting documentation.
- Participate in the planning and implementation of IT modernization activities, and systems integration.
- Collaborate with Projects team and Ops Lead, create training guides, frequently asked questions and internal and customer facing best practice products.
Qualifications - Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or proven related experience - Minimum 5 years of work experience as a Senior System Administrator
- Use and management of Microsoft products, including Entra, Exchange, Teams, and SharePoint.
- LAN/WAN networks.
- Operating as the Subject Matter Expert (SME) that has access permission to the highest level of technical resources available for issue resolution or new feature creation support.
- Operating under the idea of ITIL problem management activities which include:
- Find the root cause of any problem.
- Resolve all problems as fast as possible (at least according to agreed service levels) and monitor the effectiveness of the implemented solution.
- Proactively prevent the recurrence of incidents based upon underlying problems, considering data of Incident Management and problem suspicions.
- Maintain information about problems and the appropriate workarounds and resolutions.
