Description Join Leidos as a Senior Systems Administrator, where you will be an integral member of a dynamic team dedicated to delivering rapid deployment of desktop, video, and voice hardware and software solutions. This role demands excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, as well as the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment with shifting priorities.
Primary Responsibilities: - Coordinate multiple engineering projects concurrently with efficiency and effectiveness.
- Conduct technical assessments based on customer requirements, ensuring alignment with their needs.
- Design and develop technical modifications, collaborating with customers and technical team members.
- Execute switch port analysis and ensure compliance with port security protocols during port activation.
- Optimize and maintain both workstations and virtual environments for peak performance.
- Update engineering designs and documentation to reflect enhancements and modifications.
- Support site expansions by collaborating with Integrated Product Teams (IPTs) to add or upgrade desktop equipment.
- Review technical design documentation to facilitate the integration of new equipment for site expansions.
- Conduct technical site surveys to evaluate site expansion requirements and implement optimal solutions.
- Review existing network infrastructure to ensure feasibility for expansion efforts.
- Adhere to project procedures and security protocols while providing remote and on-site support to external partners.
- Create and implement repeatable installation and testing procedures for systems.
Secondary Responsibilities: - Troubleshoot and resolve moderately complex technical problems related to hardware installation and network connectivity.
- Oversee the installation, configuration, testing, and troubleshooting of desktop and peripheral devices, including workstations, VoIP phones, and video teleconferencing equipment, at both on-site and off-site locations.
- Manage software installations and promptly address any arising issues.
- Handle equipment de-installation and decommissioning of site services as needed.
- Possess hands-on experience with physical network cable installation and management.
Travel: This role may require occasional travel across the continental U.S.
Basic Qualifications: - A Bachelor's degree is required, along with at least 8 years of relevant experience, or 12 years of experience in lieu of a degree.
- Clearance: An active Top Secret/SCI clearance with Polygraph is mandatory for consideration.
- Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills.
- The ability to execute engineering projects with minimal supervision.
- Day-to-day fluency in using Microsoft Active Directory for managing policies and user objects.
- Experience with troubleshooting, administering, and using Microsoft Windows Enterprise 10, including imaging and basic configurations.

Preferred Qualifications: - Possession of one or more of the following certifications: MTA-IT, A+, Network+, or Security+ is highly desirable.
