As a Senior Systems Engineer, you'll play a pivotal role in leading hybrid cloud strategy, system modernization, and IT optimization. You'll work with cutting-edge technologies like Azure, VMware, and Windows Server to enhance scalability, security, and performance across our infrastructure.

Location: Houston, Texas (Greenspoint) - Hybrid; Remote possibility
Schedule: Monday-Friday (flexibility required for system maintenance and upgrades)

What You'll Do:

Hybrid Cloud Strategy & Systems Engineering

• Design, implement, and manage hybrid cloud solutions using Azure and VMware
• Oversee Windows Server environments, Active Directory, and M365 E3 integration
• Develop and maintain scalable, high-availability IT infrastructure
• Optimize storage, backup, and disaster recovery solutions

Security & Compliance

• Ensure cloud and on-premises security align with industry standards
• Monitor and enforce compliance policies and best practices
• Implement disaster recovery and business continuity solutions

Technical Leadership & Collaboration

• Serve as a technical authority for IT teams and stakeholders
• Provide mentorship and guidance to junior engineers
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align IT with business goals

What You Bring to the Table:

• 10+ years of experience in systems engineering & IT infrastructure

• Expertise in Azure, VMware, Windows Server, SAN storage, and backup solutions

• Strong understanding of hybrid cloud security, compliance, and disaster recovery

• Certifications in Azure, VMware, or Cisco (preferred)

• Excellent problem-solving, communication, and leadership skills
