About the Role: We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Systems Administrator to ensure the stable operation of computer software systems and network connections across multiple locations. This role involves planning, developing, installing, configuring, maintaining, supporting, and optimizing network software and communication links. The ideal candidate will be responsible for overseeing the configuration and operation of information management systems, resolving end-user software and connectivity issues, and providing recommendations for system upgrades and performance enhancements.
Additional Responsibilities Include, but are not Limited To:
- Ensure the stable operation of network software, communication links, and associated systems.
- Plan, develop, install, configure, maintain, and optimize network software and communication infrastructures.
- Analyze and resolve end-user software issues and connectivity problems.
- Conduct capacity and performance analysis, providing recommendations for system upgrades and configuration changes.
- Develop automated tools and scripts to improve system administration efficiency and accuracy.
- Provide training for system administrators and assess their skills and performance.
- Deliver end-user training and support.
- Offer strategic recommendations on technology direction to align IT infrastructure with business objectives.
- Provide local and remote maintenance support for operational systems, including server and application upgrades and new installations.
- Lead and direct a team of system administrators in managing day-to-day system operations, ensuring system optimization and user assistance.
- Apply advanced technical knowledge in application networking, including load balancing, fault tolerance, and vulnerability management. Perform other duties, as assigned.
Experience Requirements: - Minimum of 10 years of specialized experience.
- At least 10 years of progressive experience in Information Technology, with a minimum of 4 years focused on hands-on experience in installing, configuring, maintaining, and resolving issues with software systems.
Education Requirements: - Bachelor's degree (BA/BS) in a technical discipline.
Certificate, License, and Registration Requirements: - Relevant certification, such as RHCSA or CompTIA Linux+ from a nationally recognizedtechnical authority.
Other Required Skills & Abilities: - Must be able to effectively communicate with customer and fulfill all duties and responsibilities as listed in the contract.
- Must be proficient in Microsoft Office suite including, but not limited to: Word, PowerPoint, Excel, and Outlook.
Security Clearance Requirements: Top Secret Clearance
US Citizenship Requirements: This position supports a U.S. Government Contract whose terms require Sawdey Solution Services to staff it only with U.S. Citizens
