Senior Systems Administrator

Position Overview:

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior System Administrator to support and maintain enterprise IT infrastructure. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience with VMware virtualization, Windows domain administration, and networking concepts. This role requires a proactive problem solver with strong analytical skills and a commitment to ensuring system reliability, security, and performance.

Key Responsibilities:
•   Virtualization Management: Build, configure, maintain, upgrade, tune, and troubleshoot VMware virtual infrastructures.
•   Windows Domain Administration: Manage Active Directory, Group Policy, DNS, DHCP, and WSUS.
•   Server & Client Management: Administer Windows Server 2012/2016/2019 and Windows 10/11.
•   Networking Support: Apply basic networking concepts, including TCP/IP, VLANs, and subnets.
•   Physical Infrastructure: Rack, stack, and install physical IT equipment as needed.
•   Security & Compliance: Ensure adherence to security best practices and compliance requirements.
•   On-Call Support: Participate in a 24/7 on-call rotation to support critical IT operations. Required Qualifications:
•   Clearance: Active TS/SCI with Poly (Mandatory).
•   Experience: Minimum 9 years of relevant IT experience in enterprise environments.
•   Education: Bachelor's degree in a related field OR commensurate experience in place of a degree.
•   Certifications: VMware Certified Professional - Data Center Virtualization (VCP-DCV).
•   Virtualization Expertise: Experience with VMware, plus knowledge of Citrix, Nutanix, or Hyper-V .
•   Analytical Skills: Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities.
•   Travel: Willingness to travel within WMA or CONUS ( Desired Qualifications:
•  Experience with System Center Configuration Manager (SCCM) .
•  Experience managing EMC enterprise storage arrays .
•  Knowledge of Continuity of Operations (COOP) planning and implementation .
•  Experience administering Red Hat-based Linux distributions . On-Call Requirement: 24/7 weekly rotation
