Senior Systems Administrator

Provides oversight and technical support related to systems infrastructure, on-premises data center support, Azure cloud, endpoint protection and network support including LAN, WAN, WIFI, VOIP and VPN systems. Installs, configures, and troubleshoots servers, internal network infrastructure including desktop systems, workstations, shop floor MES and basic ERP systems support.

Helps to ensure end user support, software deployment and endpoint protection and software compliance. Configures operating systems, desktop hardware and peripherals, and various network services. Is available after hours for critical issues related to production, system outages or security breaches if necessary.

Communicates highly technical information to both technical and nontechnical personnel. Finds solutions to hardware and software opportunities. Is responsible for new acquisitions and upgrades.

Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Will provide onboarding, offboarding and change management for all end users.
  • Monitors and responds to issues in a timely manner using Stanadyne ServiceDesk Plus ticketing system, provides all Level1 local support to the Jacksonville facility
  • Responsible for the Level 2 support VOIP, WAN, VPN, Firewalls, Circuits, LANs, and Wireless Networks.
  • Support shop floor equipment including RF Scanning Guns and Bar Code Printers.
  • Maintains IT hardware inventories, PC refresh schedules, patch management, software license inventory, software deployment and compliance documentation.
  • Supports Cybersecurity Information Systems including Rapid7, Mimecast, CarbonBlack and Panorama.
  • Responsible for the management of servers, desktops, network equipment and provides monthly KPI's.
  • Oversees data center management including power, air conditioning, fire suppression systems and ensures physical security is maintained.
  • Supports the migration of systems and data from local data centers to the Microsoft Azure cloud.
  • Supports local desktop, laptop and shop floor systems computers utilizing Stanadyne best practices and procedures.
  • Monitor OS security updates on a regular basis for all production shop floor desktop, laptops, virtual desktop, and server infrastructure.
  • Test/troubleshoot network connectivity and issues with hardware and software
  • Support and troubleshooting of existing VOIP and video conferencing systems (Yealink).
  • Troubleshoot Multiple MS operating systems up to and including Windows 11 and SUSE Linux.
  • Writes standard operating procedures for systems and hardware where necessary.
Qualifications:
  • Microsoft Technologies: Intune, Microsoft 365, 365 Defender, Defender for Endpoint, Microsoft Enterprise Mobility Management, Azure P2 level security.
  • Experience with Microsoft Office 365, SharePoint, MS Active Directory, and Azure AD.
  • Practical knowledge of server virtualization technologies and backup technologies (i.e. VMWare vSphere, Microsoft Hyper-V, Veaam).
  • Experience in hands-on IT Security; TCP/IP, anti-virus, endpoint Security (i.e. Rapid 7, Carbon Black, etc.), email filtering (i.e. Mimecast).
  • Microsoft remote management and Citrix support.
Education and/or Experience:

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Science or related field is preferred
  • Microsoft Certifications related to MS Azure, Office 365 and related Microsoft security certifications.
  • CompTIA A+, Network+, Project+ certifications.
  • ISC2, ISACA, ITIL, PMI related certifications are highly valued.
  • ERP/EDI (JD Edwards and Future3) experience related to Tier1 automotive supplier is highly valued.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Experience working in an office/manufacturing environment.
  • 3 years' experience necessary in lieu of schooling
