ManTech seeks a motivated, career and customer-oriented Systems Engineer III to join our team in the Annapolis Junction, MD area Responsibilities include but are not limited to: Focus on developing and maintaining DoD 5000.02 artifacts and documentation, ensuring regulatory compliance and alignment with project objectives, which is crucial for maintaining government trust and contract fulfillment.
Apply systems engineering principles throughout all phases of the system lifecycle, from initial concept to retirement, driving efficiency and effective outcomes that directly contribute to project success and innovation.
Engage proactively with the Government on technical considerations and problem resolution, building strong client relationships and ensuring clear, effective communication that minimizes roadblocks and accelerates progress.
Contribute significantly to the creation of critical systems engineering documents, including detailed System Engineering Plans and precise requirements specifications, which are vital for project clarity and successful execution.
Provide valuable guidance and mentorship to junior team members, fostering skill development and promoting a cohesive team environment that elevates overall performance and morale. Minimum Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in a STEM field (Science, Technology, Engineering, Mathematics), providing a foundational understanding of technical concepts.
5 years of proven, relevant work experience in systems engineering, demonstrating practical application of skills and knowledge.
DoD 8570.01-m IAT Level II certification, ensuring compliance with necessary security standards.
Experience with DoD 5000.02 documentation requirements, indicating familiarity with regulatory frameworks.
Practical experience in use case development and requirements derivation, essential for successful project planning and execution.
Experience in developing comprehensive technical project artifacts, showcasing attention to detail and organizational skills.
Familiarity with Agile software development processes and software engineering practices, facilitating efficient collaboration and project management. Preferred Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Systems Engineering, demonstrating specialized education and expertise in the field.
Master's degree in a STEM field, indicating advanced knowledge and a deeper understanding of technical concepts. Clearance Requirements: Required TS/SCI Eligible. Physical Requirements: The person in this position must be able to remain in a stationary position 50% of the time. Occasionally move about inside the office to access file cabinets, office machinery, or to communicate with co-workers, management, and customers, via email, phone, and or virtual communication, which may involve delivering presentations.
