Overview:

We are seeking a Senior Systems Engineer with deep experience in Apple ecosystem supportidentity and access management, and enterprise device management. The ideal candidate will be a hands-on technical leader skilled in managing macOS environments, leveraging JAMF for endpoint management, and administering authentication platforms such as Okta. This individual will play a key role in designing, maintaining, and scaling secure, user-friendly infrastructure to support our growing workforce.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Serve as the technical lead for all macOS-based systems, ensuring performance, compliance, and user experience are optimized
  • Administer and manage Okta for identity lifecycle management, SSO integration, MFA configuration, and security policy enforcement
  • Configure and maintain JAMF Pro to automate device provisioning, patching, and compliance across Apple endpoints
  • Partner with InfoSec and IT teams to implement best practices around endpoint security, user authentication, and asset control
  • Provide Tier 3 support for escalated technical issues related to macOS devices and enterprise authentication tools
  • Monitor system performance and lead efforts in automation, scripting, and optimization
  • Collaborate on system upgrades, integrations, and rollouts across distributed environments
  • Document processes, build playbooks, and support knowledge sharing within the engineering team
  • Stay current with trends and developments in Apple device management and identity platforms

Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of experience in a systems engineering or IT infrastructure role, with a focus on Apple platforms
  • Proven hands-on experience with macOS administration in enterprise settings
  • Expertise with JAMF Pro, including configuration profiles, policies, Apple DEP, and zero-touch deployment
  • Strong working knowledge of Okta or similar identity providers, including integration and user provisioning
  • Proficient in Scripting (eg, Bash, Python) and automation of system tasks
  • Familiarity with enterprise security tools, MDM best practices, and compliance frameworks
  • Experience with cloud-based tools such as Google Workspace, Microsoft 365, or Zoom is a plus
  • Strong communication and documentation skills
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field (or equivalent experience)

Preferred Skills:

  • Experience with Apple Business Manager and Apple School Manager
  • Exposure to endpoint protection platforms like CrowdStrike, SentinelOne, etc.
  • Previous work in a hybrid or remote-first company environment
  • Certifications: JAMF Certified Tech/Admin, Okta Certified Professional, or Apple Certified Support Professional (ACSP)
