Job Title: Senior System Engineer Cisco UCCX (State Government Project) Location: Lansing, MI 2 Days Onsite Required (Hybrid) Job Type: Contract Experience Level: Mid-Senior Experience Required: 7 Years Education Required: Bachelor's Degree Industry: Information Technology and Services Visa Sponsorship: Not Available End Client: State of Michigan Total Positions: 1 Job Summary We are seeking a seasoned Senior System Engineer with hands-on experience in Cisco Unified Contact Center Express (UCCX), Unified Communications Manager (CUCM), and Unity Connection (CUC) to support a high-visibility project for a State of Michigan agency. The role includes designing, engineering, and implementing telephony solutions, providing expert-level technical support, and conducting knowledge transfer to internal teams. Key Responsibilities Design and implement solutions for Cisco UCCX, supporting advanced call routing and contact center functionality. Provide Level 2 and Level 3 support for UCCX, CUCM, and CUC platforms. Develop detailed documentation, including process designs and service design packages. Conduct training sessions and perform knowledge transfer for internal Telephony Services teams. Collaborate cross-functionally to ensure telephony systems are integrated and optimized. Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues across voice infrastructure systems. Stay current on emerging Cisco technologies to ensure optimal system design and support. Required Technology Skill Set Cisco Unified Contact Center Express (UCCX): 5+ years of experience Cisco Unified Communications Manager (CUCM): 5+ years of experience Cisco Unity Connection (CUC): 5+ years of experience Qualifications Minimum 7 years of experience in IT infrastructure, with a strong focus on Cisco voice solutions. Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field. Proven ability to design and implement enterprise-grade Cisco telephony systems. Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills. Excellent verbal and written communication abilities. Experience mentoring and training technical team members.
