This is a full-time100% onsite position.Responsibilities include but not limited to:Develops or writes material that is mostly standardized for reports, manuals, briefs, proposals, instruction books, catalogs, and related technical and administrative publications, concerned with work methods and procedures, installation, operation, and maintenance of machinery and other equipment.Studies or reviews drawings, sketches, parts lists, specifications, technical information and product samples to integrate and delineate technology, operating procedures and production sequence and detail, organizes material and completes writing assignments according to set standards and procedures to provide published documents.Conducting a ship check verification process to include drawing, procedures and technical information for Combat System related equipmentAccesses manufacturers' catalogs, drawings and other data relative to operation, maintenance, and service of equipment, may have access to blueprints, sketches, drawings parts lists, specifications, mockups, and product samples to integrate and delineate technology, operating procedure, and production sequence and detailOrganizes material and completes writing assignment according to set standards regarding order, clarity, conciseness, style, and terminologyMay maintain records and files of work and revisions, may select photographs, drawings, sketches, diagrams, and charts to illustrate material, assist in laying out material for publication, and arrange for typing, duplication and distribution of draft speeches, articles, and public or employee relations releases, or specialize in writing material regarding work methods and proceduresMinimum Requirements:6+ years of experience in operation and maintenance of Shipboard Combat Systems related and support systems or equipmentExperience providing updates to technical data, drawings, and proceduresPreferred Requirements:CSOSS technical documentation verification experienceSecurity Requirements:US Citizenship required and an Interim Secret clearance to startPhysical Requirements:Ability to climb ladders and stairwellsClimb through scuttles aboard shipAbility to read equipment nameplate data and labelsAbility lift 40lbs over your head and carry 25lbs up and down laddersManTech International Corporation considers all qualified applicants for employment without regard to disability or veteran status or any other status protected under any federal, state, or local law or regulation.
