Must be local to the Columbus, Ohio Area
This position would be hybrid, working 3 days a week in the office and 2 days a week remotely. During the first couple of weeks of training, it could be up to 5 days a week in the office. The contract would be through December 31, with renewal through the end of June 2026 and beyond.
POSITION SUMMARY:
Senior System Administrator position manages the operation of all on-prem and cloud- based capabilities, including physical infrastructure, network management solutions and business applications.
Performs duties in alignment with the 2019 - 2024 strategic plan and in support of the organization's vision To Move Every Life Forward.
POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Manage Microsoft Active Directory / Azure / O365 environments.
• Provide administrative support on back-office applications, including Infor and Kronos.
• Manage mobile connectivity solutions such as Webex, Teams, Intune, and Workspace One.
• Manage VMware environment to ensure performance and high availability of virtual servers in production and test environments.
• Perform maintenance on Storage Area Network systems, including LUN and CIFS Share Management, and zoning on Cisco 9k's.
• Assist with VoIP phone related issues with products such as Nice and Jabber.
• Setup, manage and monitor server performance monitoring tools such as SolarWinds, Lansweeper and vRealize.
• Manage backup systems such as Commvault and provide support for disaster recovery testing.
• Manage and execute monthly patching cycle for all Windows servers, as well as firmware updates for all systems.
• Install, maintain, and upgrade Cisco UCS infrastructure.
• Install, configure, and monitor Linux systems.
• Assist with projects for operational transition.
• Maintain accurate documentation on systems, applications, processes, and hardware configurations.
• Maintain open communication between internal IT groups, business units and clients.
• Work closely with suppliers.
• Work with Service Desk to manage incidents.
• Comply with all IT standards, procedures, and policies.
• Respond to escalations from IT partners.
• Participate in on-call rotation.
QUALIFICATIONS:
• Requires a bachelor's degree in computer science or a related discipline
• Seven (7) years' experience in system administration. An equivalent combination of education and experience will also be considered.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES:
• Strong working knowledge of Active Directory Federation Services and Azure.
• Extensive working knowledge of Microsoft Exchange Online and Office 365.
• Experience with VMware troubleshooting and maintenance.
• Experience with scripting (PowerShell, VB Script).
• Knowledge of Cisco suite of network protocols and implementation and support of TCP/IP networks.
• Experience with NetApp clustered storage Systems.
• Experience with Genetec video surveillance systems.
