A well-established and growing Managed Services Provider in Arlington, TX is seeking a Senior Systems Administrator to join their high-performing technical team. As a Senior Systems Engineer, you'll play a hands-on role in architecting, implementing, and supporting complex infrastructure and cloud environments. You'll work with a wide range of clients and technologies, driving forward both project delivery and technical strategy. Responsibilities:

  • Lead architecture, deployment, and support efforts for servers, networks, virtualization, and cloud solutions
  • Deliver advanced solutions using technologies from Microsoft, VMWare, Fortinet, Cisco, Azure, Nutanix, and more
  • Act as a senior escalation point for complex networking and systems issues
  • Collaborate with internal and client stakeholders to design secure, scalable infrastructure
  • Contribute to long-term technology roadmaps and modernization efforts
  • Help define best practices for systems administration, security, and disaster recovery
  • Provide technical leadership and mentorship to junior engineers

Experience:

  • At least 1 year of hands-on experience with systems architecture, implementation, and support in an MSP or consulting environment
  • Strong expertise with VMWare, virtualization, SAN/NAS storage, clustering, and hyperconverged systems
  • Advanced knowledge of networking technologies: VLANs, VPNs, firewalls (Fortinet, Cisco, SonicWALL), TCP/IP, DNS, VoIP
  • Proficiency with Windows Server, Active Directory, Azure AD, RDS, Hyper-V, and cloud-based platforms (Azure, M365, AWS)
  • Experience designing secure environments aligned with best practices and compliance standards
  • Excellent communication skills and client-facing experience
  • Bachelors degree in an IT related field
  • Relevant certifications (Microsoft, VMware, Fortinet, Cisco, Security+, etc.) are a strong plus

Salary + Benefits:
