Structural Engineer (P.E.)
Hybrid work model: Remote work allowed with travel to Stevens Point one week per month.
We are seeking a Structural Engineer (P.E.) to support product development, design, and improvement while ensuring compliance with building codes and standards. This role collaborates with engineering, sales, and manufacturing teams to meet organizational goals.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform structural calculations using spreadsheets and structural software.
- Review, stamp, and seal drawings and calculations as the P.E. of Record.
- Obtain and maintain P.E. licensure in required states.
- Coordinate with external consulting engineers as needed.
- Support sales with technical insights for quotes and projects.
- Assist in overseeing engineering work on R&D projects.
- Monitor code changes and assess impacts on products.
- Travel to site visits, conferences, and trade shows.
- Train and educate internal and external teams on engineering principles.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Civil/Structural Engineering.
- Active P.E. license with the ability to obtain additional licenses required.
- 5+ years of structural engineering experience.
- Proficiency in structural software (e.g., RISA3D, STAAD, or SAP2000).
- Familiarity with CAD software (AutoCAD, Inventor).
- Experience in steel manufacturing is a plus.
- Strong communication, teamwork, and analytical skills.
- Ability to travel up to 25%.
