Are you an experienced backend-focused cloud engineer looking to make a significant impact in an exciting pre-series A open-source startup? We are on the hunt for Staff Engineers with a passion for building scalable, cloud-native applications and a strong background in TypeScript. This is a fully remote position for now, with plans to open an office in the Bay Area in the next 6-12 months. Candidates must be willing to work in a hybrid model (2-3 days in the office) once the office opens. In this pivotal role, you will leverage your deep expertise in
TypeScript, Kubernetes, and Docker to design and deploy robust, mission-critical cloud-native applications across public cloud environments (AWS, Azure, GCP) and on-premise setups. You will play a vital role in delivering self-hostable enterprise solutions, enabling developers and organizations to scale their AI-driven applications efficiently.
What You'll Do - Architect and develop scalable, self-hostable cloud-native applications across multi-cloud and on-prem environments.
- Design and implement backend infrastructure, APIs, and system integrations that support high-scale developer workflows.
- Optimize containerized deployments with Kubernetes, Docker, and Helm, ensuring high availability and seamless automation.
- Establish best practices for intra-application communication, distributed systems, and CI/CD pipelines.
- Collaborate closely with open-source contributors, enterprise teams, and cloud engineers to create flexible and extensible developer tools.
- Build infrastructure that supports millions of developer interactions, ensuring security, performance, and scalability.
