Job Details

The Senior Accountant will play a key role in supporting the monthly close process, financial reporting, and internal controls. This role requires strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and a solid understanding of GAAP. The ideal candidate is a proactive, hands-on professional who thrives in a fast-paced, dynamic environment-preferably with experience in manufacturing, consumer goods, or the food industry.

Key Responsibilities:
Prepare and review monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements
Perform general ledger account reconciliations and resolve discrepancies
Assist with month-end and year-end closing processes
Manage inventory accounting and cost of goods sold (COGS) reconciliations
Support fixed asset tracking and depreciation schedules
Analyze variances and trends in financial data and provide recommendations
Collaborate with operations and supply chain teams to align financial reporting with production and inventory management
Assist with internal and external audits, including documentation and testing
Ensure compliance with GAAP and company accounting policies
Support process improvements and automation initiatives within the finance function

Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance; CPA or CPA-track preferred
4+ years of accounting experience, ideally in manufacturing or food & beverage industry
Strong knowledge of GAAP, inventory accounting, and cost accounting
Proficient in Microsoft Excel; experience with ERP systems (e.g., NetSuite, SAP, Oracle) is a plus
Strong attention to detail and analytical thinking
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a cross-functional team
