Overview
We are seeking a data-driven compensation expert to join our People team as a Senior Compensation & Total Rewards Specialist. This role focuses primarily on compensation strategy (75%), including benchmarking, pay structures, and rewards program administration, with additional responsibilities in benefits and leave administration (25%).
You will play a key role in ensuring competitive, equitable compensation programs, optimizing HR systems, and supporting benefits and leave processes. Success in this role requires strong analytical skills, compensation expertise, and a process-driven mindset.
Key Responsibilities
Compensation & Total Rewards (75%)
- Manage annual and mid-year merit and bonus cycles, including planning, execution, and analysis.
- Conduct market benchmarking and job evaluations (FMI, Radford, CEA, Moss Adams) to ensure competitive pay.
- Develop and maintain compensation structures, salary bands, and job leveling frameworks.
- Administer equity, incentive, and spot bonus programs to attract and retain talent.
- Analyze pay trends, internal equity, and variable pay programs, ensuring compliance and business alignment.
- Optimize HR systems (eg, Paylocity, Jobvite) for compensation administration and reporting.
Benefits & Leave Administration (25%)
- Support benefits open enrollment, including vendor coordination and employee communications.
- Oversee leave programs (FMLA, ADA, EDD), ensuring compliance and employee support.
- Manage COBRA administration and assist with employee benefits inquiries.
Qualifications
- 4+ years in compensation analysis, total rewards, or HR operations.
- Strong proficiency in pay benchmarking, salary structures, and incentive programs.
- Experience with HCM systems (eg, Paylocity, Jobvite, SuccessFactors) and advanced Excel/Google Sheets.
- Knowledge of benefits and leave administration a plus.
- High level of confidentiality, accuracy, and attention to detail.
