SSC plays a critical role in advancing the United States's space capabilities, delivering cutting-edge solutions to protect and enhance national security. SSC/SZBC specializes in highly classified Space Domain Awareness (SDA) systems, Defensive and Offensive Space Control (DSC/OSC) capabilities, and space test range assets to support the Department of Defense's (DoD) current and future operational needs. PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES: Provide technical, engineering, and acquisition support across all stages of the acquisition life cycle. Assist with program acquisition for advanced technology, future concept development, and system integration. Advise the government on cost, schedule, and performance matters. Draft and revise acquisition and technical documentation, including capability documents, acquisition strategies, technical evaluations, system specifications, and reports. Develop SME-level technical and programmatic status reports as needed. Identify areas for acquisition process improvement and recommend risk mitigation strategies. Support risk management efforts, including risk identification, process development, and mitigation planning. Monitor program schedules, track acquisition implementation, assess risks, and maintain updated acquisition reports. Support technical engagements such as design reviews, program meetings, and working groups. Assist with source selections by developing documentation, coordinating meetings, and reviewing proposal evaluations per Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) guidelines. Provide technical and operational insight to support mission protection, operations, and data assessments. Develop, review, and evaluate impact analyses, audits, compliance inspections, and readiness reviews. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: Expert in highly classified space control space, ground, and C2 systems (concepts development, build, and test) Expert in maturing technologies through all TRL levels Expert in multiple space control-related technologies, including but not limited to, optical, electronic support, signal processing, communications MA/MS degree plus at least 10 years' experience in similar position or program. However, a BA/BS degree is acceptable if the candidate possesses at least 12 years of experience in this type of position or program. The Materiel Leader may also waive the MA/MS requirement. SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES: This position does not supervise the work of others. WORK ENVIRONMENT: This job operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment. PHYSICAL DEMANDS: Must be able to operate a computer and other standard office equipment. Must be able to remain in a stationary position, 80%. TRAVEL: Little if any travel required. This is a Full-Time, Salary, Exempt position.
