Description Leidos is actively seeking a talented Senior Solution Architect (SA) to join our dynamic FBI Portfolio team. As a key player in our organization, you will engage in innovative software development and cloud migration initiatives while supporting internal research and development to create unique capabilities. This role calls for a technical leader who is not only willing to tackle complex challenges hands-on but also capable of setting a visionary technology direction to drive business growth.
You will be entrusted with the critical task of designing and refining technical solutions in Agile software development, cloud services, cross-domain systems, and other managed services across various contracts. The ideal candidate will also play a pivotal role in pursuing new business opportunities by identifying and leveraging Leidos' differentiators through strategic partnerships or novel capability development.
This position will be headquartered at the customer site in Washington, DC.
Primary Responsibilities include: - Establishing best practices, lessons learned, and technological methodologies for IT Managed Services and IT modernization, encompassing Agile SecDevOps Software Development, Network Cross-Domain Services, Cloud Services, and emerging technologies.
- Allocating approximately 50% of your time to directly support key initiatives and programs to deliver cutting-edge capabilities.
- Engaging in and proposing R&D and solution development efforts focusing on IT automation, AI/ML/RPA, and other modernization technologies.
- Collaborating with program teams, Division leadership, and the CTO organization to identify technology and solution roadmaps aimed at enhancing mission enterprise capabilities and maximizing Leidos' contributions to mission success, resulting in increased contract growth and improved customer satisfaction.
- Crossing business lines and programs to identify opportunities for technological enhancement and innovation.
- Evaluating and mentoring technical talent and junior solution architects to effectively address current and future business challenges, while fostering a robust resource pool capable of supporting anticipated technical demands.
- Partnering with Business Development personnel to understand and shape new business strategies, assessing necessary skills and technology requirements.
- Collaborating with the Business Development team to develop technical solutions and industry relationships through new business reviews, white papers, customer engagement calls, and the Win Plan process for larger franchise opportunities.
- Enhancing Leidos' reputation as a leader in Agile Software Development within the FBI.
Basic Qualifications: - At least 15 years of recognized expertise in software development, with proven experience in the FBI.
- Proficient in developing, managing, and implementing technology roadmaps and portfolios.
- Strong persuasive skills and the ability to handle complex negotiations with a strategic mindset.
- Experience mentoring, leading, and fostering talent.
- Willingness to travel up to 10% beyond the Washington Metropolitan Area.
- Top Secret Clearance is REQUIRED.
Preferred Qualifications: - Master's degree in a Science, Engineering, or Technology field; equivalent experience will also be considered.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, along with compelling public speaking abilities.
- Experience in designing Cloud-based solutions.
- Familiarity with Scaled Agile Framework and other agile methodologies.
- SAFe 6.0 Agilist Certification, or other relevant agile certifications.
- AWS Solution Architect Certification.
