ManTech seeks an experienced and passionate, career and customer-oriented Senior Software SPLUNK Engineer to join our team in Ft. Meade, MD.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Develop, maintain, and enhance complex and diverse software systems, such as processing-intensive analytics, novel algorithm development, manipulation of large data sets, Real Time systems, and business management information systems, based on documented requirements.
- Work independently or as part of a team to review and test software components for adherence to design requirements, documenting test results and resolving software problem reports.
- Utilize appropriate software development and software design methodologies for the development environment, providing specific input to the software components of system design, including hardware/software trade-offs, software reuse, use of Commercial Off-the-shelf (COTS)/Government Off-the-shelf (GOTS) solutions, and requirements analysis and synthesis.
- Collaborate with colleagues and stakeholders to achieve common goals and contribute to a productive and innovative work environment.
Minimum Qualifications:
- 5+ years of experience as a Software Engineer
- Demonstrated experience in designing and developing applications in a UNIX/Linux operating environment.
- Experience with SPLUNK, including at least 1 year of architecting, deploying, and general administration.
- Experience developing and integrating REST services.
- Knowledge of Agile software development methodology.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience building large platforms by integrating open-source or commercial software with automation scripting.
- Demonstrated experience in designing and developing applications in a Linux operating environment.
- Familiarity with containerization technologies like Docker.
- Experience deploying applications to container orchestration technologies such as Kubernetes.
- Bachelor's Degree
