Overview: Join our dynamic Quality Assurance team as a Senior Software Quality Tester. In this role, you will play a crucial part in ensuring our software systems meet industry standards, are free of defects, and perform as designed. Your expertise will be vital in identifying, reporting, and tracking defects, as well as collaborating closely with the development team to implement effective solutions.

Clearance: An ACTIVE Secret Clearance is required for this position. Applicants selected will undergo a security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information. US Citizenship is required to obtain a clearance.
Requirements: - Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field
- At least 7 years of experience in software testing, ideally in an agile environment
- Proficiency in testing frameworks like Selenium, Appium, TestComplete, or RTM
- Experience with test automation tools, such as Jenkins, GitLab CI/CD, or CircleCI
- Familiarity with defect tracking tools like JIRA, Trello, or Bugzilla
- Strong knowledge of software development life cycles, particularly agile methodologies
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills
- A collaborative approach to teamwork
- Meticulous attention to detail and strong organizational abilities
Responsibilities: - Test Planning: Develop and execute detailed test plans, test cases, and test scripts for comprehensive software testing.
- Identify, analyze, and document testing requirements and scope.
- Test Execution: Conduct manual and automated testing to detect defects and communicate findings to the development team.
- Perform exploratory, usability, and compatibility testing.
- Defect Management: Document and report defects found during testing; collaborate with the development team to reproduce and resolve issues.
- Verify defect fixes and ensure accurate closure of reported defects.
- Test Automation: Create and maintain automated test scripts using relevant tools and frameworks.
- Integrate automated tests into the CI/CD pipeline in collaboration with the DevSecOps Engineer.
- Collaboration and Communication: Work alongside cross-functional teams, including development, product management, and design.
- Provide regular updates on testing progress, results, and defects to stakeholders.
- Process Improvement: Assess and enhance testing processes, tools, and methodologies continuously.
- Participate in retrospectives and contribute to overall process improvement.
- Documentation: Keep accurate and current test documentation, including plans, cases, and results.
- Stakeholder Management: Communicate findings with stakeholders, including project managers, product owners, and customers.
Preferred Skills and Experience: - ISTQB (International Software Testing Qualifications Board) certification or equivalent
- Experience with cloud-based testing platforms like AWS Device Farm or Google Cloud Test Lab
- Experience with containerization tools such as Docker or Kubernetes
- Understanding of DevOps practices and tools like Puppet, Chef, or Ansible
Education: A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field is required.
Compensation: The projected annual compensation range for this position is $84,000 - $119,000 (USD). This estimate reflects the standard salary range and is one component of the total compensation package offered by SimVentions.
