We are looking for experienced Back End Software Engineers to lead diverse technology projects and teams, focusing on distributed microservices and full stack systems. By creating solutions that align with our regulatory requirements, you will play a key role in our company's transformation journey.
What You'll Do:
- Lead a portfolio of varied technology projects while guiding a team of developers.
- Stay on top of tech trends, experiment with emerging technologies, and share your findings with others in the engineering community.
- Collaborate with digital product managers to deliver robust cloud-based solutions that empower millions of Americans to achieve financial well-being.
- Utilize programming languages such as Java, Python, SQL, Node, Go, and Scala, along with Open Source RDBMS and NoSQL databases.
- Work with Container Orchestration services including Docker and Kubernetes, leveraging various AWS tools and services.
Basic Qualifications: - Bachelor's Degree
- At least 6 years of professional software engineering experience (Internship experience does not apply)
- At least 1 year of experience with cloud computing (AWS, Microsoft Azure, Google Cloud)
- At least 4 years of people management experience
Preferred Qualifications: - Master's Degree
- 9+ years of experience in at least one of the following languages: Java, Scala, Python, Go, or Node.js
- 3+ years of experience with AWS, GCP, Azure, or another cloud service
- 4+ years of experience in open source frameworks
- 7+ years of people management experience
- 2+ years of experience in Agile practices
This position is located at our offices in McLean, VA or Richmond, VA. The minimum annual salary for this role ranges from $204,900 to $257,200, depending on the location and experience. Additionally, this role is eligible for performance-based incentives.
