Our Enterprise Platforms Technology (EPTech) team is integral to Capital One's core enterprise platforms. We are committed to setting best practices for technological solutions company-wide while delivering capabilities that reflect those very practices.
Your Role: - Lead a diverse range of technology projects, managing a team of skilled developers with strong expertise in DevOps and CI/CD platform engineering.
- Stay updated on tech trends, experiment with new technologies, engage in tech communities, mentor team members, and occasionally write or review code.
- Work closely with product managers to create robust cloud-based solutions that empower millions of Americans in their financial journeys.
- Utilize programming languages like Java, Python, SQL, Ruby, and Go, along with Infrastructure as Code frameworks such as AWS CDK, AWS CloudFormation, and OpenTofu including Ansible and Terraform, leveraging various AWS tools and services.
Basic Qualifications: - Bachelor's degree.
- At least 6 years of experience in DevOps Engineering (excluding internship experience).
- At least 4 years of experience with Cloud Native technologies (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud Platform).
- At least 6 years of Unix or Linux system administration experience.
- At least 4 years of people management experience.
Preferred Qualifications: - 9+ years of experience in DevOps Engineering.
- 6+ years of coding and scripting experience (Python, SQL, Java, JavaScript, Golang, Bash, or Ruby).
- 4+ years of experience in infrastructure design, implementation, and delivery.
- 3+ years of experience with container orchestration services, including Docker or Kubernetes.
- 3+ years of experience applying Agile Development Practices.

Salary information for this position varies by location: McLean, VA: $225,400 - $257,200; Plano, TX: $204,900 - $233,800. Actual salary will be outlined in the candidate's offer letter based on the designated working location.
In addition to salary, this role is eligible for performance-based incentives, which may include bonuses or long-term incentives.
