Overview: As a Sr. Software Engineer ( Fullstack ) at Litera, you will be part of a dynamic team that is passionate about driving innovation in the legal technology space. You will have the opportunity to work with cutting-edge tools and collaborate with industry experts to deliver solutions that make a real difference in the legal profession.

Key Responsibilities:

• Write clean, maintainable code that is extensible with minimum number of defects

• Source expert-level knowledge of modern software development techniques and methodologies

• Provide guidance on modern software engineering techniques and methodologies for code reviews

• Take ownership of product features from estimates to design and development

• Refactor and improve existing software

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams (Product Management, Quality Engineering) to complete tasks

• Manage individual task priorities, estimates, deadlines, and deliverables

• Coach and mentor less experienced team members

• Shape innovative designs and feature enhancement ideas into the product and design process

• Own key areas of the product in terms of design and development

• Demonstrate knowledge of software and security best practices (i.e., object-oriented design patterns, OWASP Top 10, SOLID design principles)

• Deliver solutions that scale

• Perform other duties as assigned

Qualifications:

5-8+ years of software development experience with excellent C and TypeScript/JavaScript coding skills

3 + years of experience with m ost of the following technologies:

• .NET/.NET Core, ASP.NET Core, Web/REST APIs

• SQL and Entity Framework experience

• UI/UX technologies such as React.js, Svelte , Angular.js, or Vue.js

• .NET Unit testing frameworks ( i.e. XUnit , NUnit , MSTest )

Having experience with the following technologies is a plus:

• Tailwind CSS

• AI Coding Assistance

• Embeddings, Azure Open AI/Open AI, RAG, Vector Databases, and Semantic Search

• Working containers via Docker, K8s, and/or Azure Container Instances

• Frontend unit testing experience is a plus ( i.e. Jest, Vitest )

Education in Computer Science or Software Engineering (or related experience)

Experience developing software using Microsoft Visual Studio, Github , Jira and/or Azure DevOps

Experience with CI/CD and automated build and deployment processes

Microsoft Azure or cloud computing experience preferred ( i.e. SQL Azure, Azure Storage, etc )

Strong troubleshooting and debugging skills

Excellent at multi-tasking and able to handle competing priorities
