A tech-driven insurance company is looking for a Sr Software Engineer to join a growing team focused on building an internal SaaS software. This role is perfect for someone who has worked as a software engineer in the insurance industry with platforms such as Guidewire InsuranceNow, Guidewire Suite, Duck Creek, BriteCore, or EZLynx. It's also a big plus if you have programmed new states for personal auto lines in any of these systems. Job Details

Responsibilities
  • Lead the design and implementation of personal auto insurance solutions, including state-specific programming.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to gather requirements and translate them into technical solutions.
  • Build new features and modernize current internal SaaS systems (Guidewire) designed to support the insurance lifecycle for property and casualty insurers
  • Drive system integrations to ensure seamless data flow across platforms.
  • Identify and resolve performance bottlenecks to maintain system efficiency and scalability.
  • Mentor and guide junior team members, fostering a culture of excellence and innovation.

Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
  • A minimum of 3 years of experience as a software engineer, with a focus on insurance industry solutions.
  • Hands-on experience with Guidewire InsuranceNow, Guidewire Suite, Duck Creek, BriteCore, EZLynx, or similar platforms.
  • Proven track record of programming state-specific solutions for personal auto insurance lines.
  • Proficiency in programming languages such as Java, Gosu, or other object-oriented languages.
  • Strong knowledge of APIs, microservices, and enterprise software design.
  • Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.

Bonus Points For
  • Familiarity with insurance compliance and regulatory requirements.
  • Experience in Agile/Scrum development environments.
  • Certifications in Guidewire, Duck Creek, or related technologies.
