Role Overview As a key member of the Systems Engineering team, you will support essential tools and core services that enhance both product experience for our end-users and developer experience for our engineering teams. Your daily tasks will range from troubleshooting issues to collaborating across functions on strategic projects that address complex problems.
Your role will blend technical expertise with leadership, helping to shape Kiddom's systems as we grow each school year. You will work with Go, TypeScript, and Python, employing technologies from web APIs to graph databases and edge computing. You will have the opportunity to drive impactful technical changes across teams and empower your colleagues to excel with the tools you develop. We are looking for a problem-solver with exceptional debugging skills.
Note: We are hiring in the San Francisco Bay Area or New York City area, and we expect team members to work in the office at least once a week to foster collaboration and culture.
Qualifications - 6+ years of software development experience at scale.
- 3+ years of experience leading cross-functional projects.
- Proficiency in Go/Golang.
- Experience managing services in AWS or other cloud platforms.
- Familiarity with Docker containers and Linux virtual machines.
- Ability to integrate applications with infrastructure, embodying the DevOps philosophy.

Salary: $160,000 - $200,000 a year. Salary range is influenced by geography, experience, seniority, and performance in the interview process.
