Senior Software Engineer (Front-End) San Francisco Bay Area We're looking for a Senior Software Engineer to join our dynamic team and make a significant impact on our web build and deployment processes. You'll leverage your expertise in Node.js and TypeScript to create robust, scalable systems and drive our codebase forward.
Key Responsibilities:- Design and deliver code that is readable, maintainable, testable, scalable, reusable, and efficient.
- Collaborate in an Agile team environment with engineers, designers, and product managers to solve complex problems.
- Think from the customer's perspective to recommend design improvements.
- Work with backend teams to design effective and understandable APIs.
- Follow established architecture patterns and suggest improvements.
- Implement new features according to specifications and participate in code reviews.
- Investigate and fix bugs.
- Build unit and UI tests.
- Stay current with the latest technologies.
- Participate in on-call rotations during daytime hours.
What We're Looking For:- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or Engineering preferred.
- Proficiency in Node.js and JavaScript/TypeScript.
- Solid understanding of the software development lifecycle and a strong knowledge of software engineering fundamentals such as design patterns, graph algorithms, and basic statistical analysis.
- Basic understanding of operating system fundamentals such as process & thread management, ulimit, and memory management.
- Experience in contributing to projects as part of a team, including coding, testing, troubleshooting, and devOps administration.
- Excellent communication skills in spoken and written English.
