As a Senior Software Engineer, you will:
- Lead diverse technology projects and guide a skilled team in developing distributed microservices and full-stack systems.
- Create impactful solutions that help meet regulatory requirements while enhancing customer experiences.
- Share your enthusiasm for technology by engaging with internal and external technology communities, mentoring fellow engineers, and staying updated on industry trends.
- Collaborate closely with digital product managers to deliver robust cloud-based solutions empowering millions of Americans.
- Utilize programming languages such as Go, Java, and NoSQL databases, along with container orchestration services like Docker and Kubernetes, and leverage various AWS tools and services.
Basic Qualifications: - Bachelor's Degree
- At least 4 years of experience in software engineering (Internship experience does not apply)
- At least 1 year of experience with cloud computing (AWS, Microsoft Azure, Google Cloud)
Preferred Qualifications: - Master's Degree
- 7+ years of experience in at least one of the following: Go, Java, or C
- 3+ years of experience with AWS, GCP, Microsoft Azure, or other cloud services
- 4+ years of experience in open source frameworks
- 1+ years of people management experience
- 2+ years of experience in Agile methodologies
This role is based in McLean, VA, with a salary range of $193,400 - $220,700 for Lead Software Engineer positions, and in Richmond, VA, with a salary range of $175,800 - $200,700. Compensation also includes performance-based incentives and a comprehensive benefits package.
