Senior Software Engineer

Come join the Virtual Experts Platform (VEP) as a Senior Software Engineer. VEP powers AI-driven digital expertise and AI-assisted human expertise for all Intuit customers to ensure customers who enter the Intuit ecosystem never experience a 'dead-end' and always have a trusted expert by their side to help them along the way. VEP is core to Intuit's Big Bet 2 and serves every single customer and that touches all the products across the tech ecosystem including expertise-led offerings such as TurboTax Live, TurboTax Full Service, QuickBooks Live.In this role, you will be a trailblazer working on complex features and functions that experts rely on for collaboration with customers to delivering the service. Along with coding, you will be responsible forworking with product managers, other developers and designers on our agile team structure. What you'll bring

• Demonstrate a passion for developing well architected, elegant, web and/or mobile apps
• Experience with Agile Development, SCRUM, or Extreme Programming methodologies
• BS/master's in computer science or related field.
• 4+ experience designing and developing web, software, or mobile applications
• Strong foundation in Java, Spring, SpringBoot and NoSQL Technologies like Cassandra & Mongo DB
• Experience with using AI technologies
• Experience with web services (consuming or creating) with REST and GraphQL
• Understanding of modern web development technologies like React
• Proven experience in software best practices, like test-driven development (TDD), CI/CD and Simple Design Concepts
• Experience designing services that operate on cloud environments like AWS a plus
• A solid foundation in software engineering with strong competencies in data structure, algorithms and software design.
• Experience working with agile methodologies, such as Scrum
• Strong analytical skills and object-orientated design capabilities.
• Willingness to learn new technologies and skills.
• Ability to troubleshoot and analyze application issues to identify root cause.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
• Applies full understanding of the software engineering discipline and industry best practices.
