We are seeking a skilled Mainframe Developer with a strong background in security practices and proficiency in Assembler programming to join our team. Key Responsibilities:
- Design, develop, test, and maintain mainframe applications using Assembler and other mainframe programming languages.
- Implement and enhance security features to safeguard sensitive data and ensure compliance with industry standards.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including architects, QA engineers, and DevOps professionals, to deliver scalable and secure solutions.
- Analyze and optimize application performance to meet high availability and efficiency standards.
- Troubleshoot and resolve complex system issues related to mainframe applications.
- Document technical designs, system configurations, and operational procedures.
- Stay updated on the latest advancements in mainframe technologies and security practices
Required Skills and Qualifications:
- Minimum 9+ years of software engineering experience with Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- Proven experience as a Mainframe Developer with expertise in Assembler programming.
- Strong understanding of mainframe security concepts and protocols (e.g., RACF, ACF2, or Top Secret).
- Hands-on experience with mainframe tools like TSO/ISPF, JCL, DB2, IMS, and CICS.
- Familiarity with encryption, secure coding practices, and compliance requirements in mainframe environments.
- Proficient in debugging, analyzing dumps, and optimizing Assembler code.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work effectively in a collaborative team environment.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with z/OS, z/VM, or similar mainframe operating systems.
- Knowledge of modern DevOps practices in mainframe environments (e.g., Jenkins for CI/CD, version control systems like Git).
- Exposure to IBM or other enterprise-level mainframe products.
- Certification in mainframe technologies or security frameworks (e.g., CISSP).
Education:
Bachelors/Masters degree in Computer Science or equivalent
