Position Summary CVS Health Enterprise Digital seeks to change the way individuals manage their healthcare by focusing on the features that matter to our customers, building software in a modern, lean way, and deploying continuously into the cloud. As part of an engineering team building the Aetna Health APIs, we help our members find the care they need.
What You'll Do: The server teams are responsible for building out APIs that is used by multiple applications to provide the best experience possible for the millions of members. As the number of members using our services increase, we are looking to transition our APIs to better support our members and downstream applications. Our teams will be working to refactor existing services to bring greater stability and scalability, build new services and incorporate new features.
In any given day you will: - Contribute code and tests according to criteria established by our product team
- Work with product to break down and plan sprint work to help us achieve our long-term goals
- Write infrastructure-as-code template files (currently Cloudformation but moving to Terraform)
- Monitor, troubleshoot and support our applications in production
- Seek opportunities to improve the foundation of our code
- Learn new skills in terms of software development, engineering practices and cloud engineering
- Solution feature work
Qualifications :
Required - 4+ years of professional experience with TypeScript, Node, Docker, AWS
- 6+ years of professional API development experience
- Experience deploying and maintaining services in production serving millions of users
- Experience developing and deploying micro-services
Preferred - Experience deploying and maintaining services on AWS, specifically ECS & EKS
- Experience in Node & Typescript
- Expertise and an interest in logging and monitoring
- Experience translating large features into software designs
- An open mind about different solutions and a willingness to discuss alternatives
- Strong communication skills
- Experience running projects independently & in a team setting

Pay Range The typical pay range for this role is:
$83,430.00 - $203,940.00
This pay range represents the base hourly rate or base annual full-time salary for all positions in the job grade within which this position falls. The actual base salary offer will depend on a variety of factors including experience, education, geography and other relevant factors. This position is eligible for a CVS Health bonus, commission or short-term incentive program in addition to the base pay range listed above.
