Senior Software Developer - C /MFC

$130,000-160,000 DOE

Direct Hire - Full Time - Remote


Our client, a leading construction company, is seeking a Senior Software Developer with expertise in Modern C and Microsoft Foundation Classes (MFC) to join their growing team on a full-time, permanent, and fully remote basis. In this role, you'll play a key part in building and maintaining backend services for a cloud-based construction management platform. You'll collaborate with cross-functional teams-including product managers, architects, and fellow developers-to deliver high-performance, scalable software that meets the specific needs of the construction sector.


Technology Stack:

  • C (Modern C development)
  • MFC (Microsoft Foundation Classes)

Responsibilities:

  • Write clean, maintainable, and scalable C code within a mature MFC framework
  • Analyze complex technical problems & implement optimized, high-performance solutions
  • Participate in code reviews, share best practices & mentor junior developers
  • Collaborate with QA, PMs, BAs & other devs to drive successful project delivery
  • Ensure software reliability through unit, integration & regression testing
  • Author and maintain high-quality technical documentation
  • Work within an agile, collaborative environment that emphasizes quality & delivery
  • Stay current on emerging technologies, contribute to continuous improvement & team knowledge sharing
  • Contribute to a talented, passionate internal software group that values code craftsmanship
  • Perform other duties as assigned that help grow the team & product suite

Preferred Background:

  • 5+ years of hands-on software development experience with a strong emphasis on C /MFC
  • Exposure to or understanding of the construction, building, or field services industries (helpful but not required for all applicants)
  • Excellent debugging & troubleshooting skills
  • Strong collaboration, communication & mentoring abilities
  • Self-motivated, team-focused & excited about building long-lasting, scalable solutions
  • Experience working remotely or in distributed teams a plus
