Senior Software Engineer - Chantilly, VA

Full Visibility is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to work in Chantilly, Lorton, or Quantico, VA. Candidate must possess an active Top Secret clearance.

The Senior Software Engineer will work independently developing and coding software solutions that provide needed capabilities in support of collection activities through professional software development. The ideal candidate will conduct rapid software prototyping to demonstrate and evaluate technologies in relevant environments and conduct performance, security, and other aspects of evaluating software systems. The Software Engineer will test software capabilities using novel testing and analysis techniques, document software with an emphasis on architectures, user stories, and interface definitions; and support software development infrastructure and assist in building and configuring computing systems and resources. The successful candidate will practice agile software development methods, actively participate on teams of software developers, researchers, designers, and technical leads, interface with the technical community and other entities to understand challenges, needs, and develop solutions, and contribute to improving the overall technical capabilities by participating in design sessions.

Requirements

• Active Top Secret Clearance

• At least five (5+) years of experience in the direct performance of a major program, project, or activity relating to computer software development at the user and kernel level, computer programming, and /or computer digital forensics

• At least five (5+) years of intensive software development experience in C/C or Java

• Knowledge of Rust, Perl, Python, Ruby, JavaScript

• Knowledge of NoSQL systems, cloud computing and virtualization, parallel programming, network programming, mobile development, and interface development

• Knowledge and experience with end-to-end software development activities in Linux/Windows/Unix/Web environments and team-focused OS

• Knowledge of software development tools, including IDEs (Eclipse, lntelliJ, emacs, etc.), version control systems (Git, SVN, mercurial, etc.), and bug tracking systems (e.g., Jira, Bugzilla, FogBugz)

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or Software Engineering. Education, training, certifications, or work experience may be substituted in lieu of degree or work experience

Preferred Skills:

• Proven contribution to open source development projects
