We are currently seeking experienced Senior Software Engineers who hold an active TS/SCI Polygraph clearance and possess strong Java expertise to join a high-performing agile team utilizing the Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe) methodology.
As a critical member of our dynamic team, you will support a vital cryptographic key management program characterized by fast-paced execution. Our program adheres to DEVOPS best practices with robust development, testing, and production environments, incorporating Behavioral Driven Development (BDD) and automated testing tools. Your role will include:
- Engaging in full software development activities within an agile team, transforming agile stories into actionable concepts.
- Conducting development, testing, and deployment of new capabilities in a complex system environment.
- Implementing robust testing using DEVOPS automation, while leveraging commercial test automation tools where suitable.
- Opportunities will include server-side business logic implementation and user interface development with technologies like Java, Python, and embedded C/C .
- Analyzing and resolving challenging software issues while collaborating with experts across the program.
- Providing technical leadership on software development activities as part of an agile team.
You will also be responsible for:
- Performing high-level software development functions, including design, troubleshooting, and debugging.
- Developing and maintaining software infrastructure using Computer Aided Software Engineering (CASE) tools.
- Ensuring developed code is modifiable, efficient, reliable, and reusable through sound software engineering principles.
- Collaborating with Software Engineers and System Engineers to resolve complex technical challenges impacting the system.
Eligible candidates can receive up to a $25K cash sign-on bonus. Basic Qualifications: - Bachelor's degree with 12-15 years of relevant experience, or a Master's degree with 10-13 years of relevant experience.
- Proven development experience with Java is a must.
- Experience in Java/J2EE and familiarity with one or more of the following: Python, C/C , SQL, SOAP, WSDL, WADL.
- Proficient in User Interface development, with a solid understanding of databases and structures.
- Experience with Windows and/or Linux operating systems.
- Strong understanding of software development principles and practices.
- Ability to manage personal task prioritization and effective verbal and written communication.
- Independent thinker capable of high-quality work in an agile environment.
Security Clearance Requirement: An active TS/SCI with Polygraph is required for this position.
Preferred Qualifications: - Familiarity with JEE, SQL, and application servers (Tomcat, WebLogic, JBoss).
- Experience in agile software development practices such as Pair Programming, TDD, and Refactoring.
- Knowledge of Behavior Driven Development (BDD) or Test-Driven Development (TDD).
- Experience with secure software development methodologies.
- Familiar with Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe) methodologies, with SAFe Agilest Certification being a plus.
