The
Automated Test Framework Software Engineer will play a crucial role in supporting automated tests across multiple environments for a large and complex enterprise system. Our agile development teams leverage the Behavior-Driven Development (BDD) pattern, enabling developers to implement robust testing through DevOps automation and commercial test automation tools. Key activities involve developing, enhancing, and maintaining the BDD framework.
Responsibilities Include: - Designing, developing, and maintaining automated test suites and frameworks to ensure the quality and reliability of software applications.
- Troubleshooting and debugging automated tests to identify root causes of failures and ensure test reliability.
- Collaborating closely with development teams to identify testable requirements and implement automated testing solutions.
- Writing and executing automated test scripts using various testing tools and frameworks.
- Maintaining clear and concise documentation and tracking issues.
- Managing virtual machines (VMs) and utilizing CI/CD tools along with basic system administration.
- Actively participating in daily stand-ups, Sprint Planning, Program Increment (PI) Planning, and other team activities.
Basic Qualifications: - Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field and at least 8 years of relevant experience (additional experience may substitute for a degree).
- Proven experience with Java, including the development of unit tests.
- Experience with Spring libraries and working in development environments (IDEs), as well as CI/CD frameworks.
- Familiarity with software source control and configuration management tools.
- Experience with Windows and/or Linux operating systems and managing virtualized environments.
- Willingness to engage in short-duration travel to support quarterly PI Planning sessions in Maryland if not located there.
- Clearance Required: Must possess TS/SCI with Polygraph up front.
Preferred Qualifications: - Experience working with integration test frameworks.
- Basic Windows administration capability (e.g., Windows Registry Editor, Services, Task Scheduler).
- Familiarity with task automation tools like PowerShell.
- Experience with knowledge management systems.
- Knowledge of Behavior Driven Development (BDD).
- Familiarity with Scrum and Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe) methodologies, as well as SAFe Agilist Certification or experience as an Agile team member.

Pay Range: $104,650.00 - $189,175.00. The Leidos pay range for this level is a general guideline only and not a guarantee of compensation.
