MTSI is excited to invite applications for a Senior Software Development Engineer with a TS/SCI clearance and SAP eligibility to support critical projects for an Air Force Lifecycle Center. This role requires a dynamic engineer who will thrive in generating software pipelines and interfaces, reviewing code, and collaborating with consortiums to advance Government Reference Architectures. You'll play a crucial role in guiding software development practices that ensure secure, interoperable, and compliant architectures. This position is on-site with the customer at WPAFB, Ohio.

Responsibilities Essential functions include:
- Performing as a Software Engineer across various acquisition efforts encompassing design, development, integration, testing, and deployment.
- Defining and implementing open architectures.
- Applying contemporary commercial software development practices and tools such as AGILE, Kanban, Git, and Jenkins.
- Utilizing digital engineering best practices in open architecture development/implementation, including MBSE approaches.
- Creating and evaluating RFP packages and technical documentation for system acquisition.
- Engaging with industry and acquisition programs to address challenges in implementing open architectures.
- Continuously improving open architectures to meet evolving customer needs.
- Developing and presenting insights to senior leadership.
Qualifications Required Qualifications - Bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering, or a related field.
- 10+ years of software development experience, including 2+ years in Special Access Programs within the past 4 years.
- Experience with hybrid cloud software deployments.
- Proficiency in software development tools and methodologies, including AGILE and Kanban.
- Experience with programming languages such as C, C , Java, and Python.
- Familiarity with Linux OS environments.
- Experience with container frameworks and orchestration technologies.
- Hands-on experience with Embedded systems development and troubleshooting.
- Ability to operate effectively in fast-paced environments.
- Strong oral and written communication skills.
- Proactive, self-starting attitude focused on delivering mission-critical capabilities.
Desired Qualifications - Master's degree in a relevant field.
- A Top Secret security clearance with SCI and SAP eligibility is highly desired.
- Experience with open architecture vendor consortiums.
- Knowledge of open system design concepts.
- Familiarity with Real-time operating systems and complex digital device hardware.
- Understanding of Model Based Systems Engineering tools.
Clearance Requirements - Must possess at least a Secret clearance, with the ability to obtain TS with SCI and SAP eligibility.
