Join Leidos as a Senior Software Development Engineer on our maritime autonomy team, where you'll have the opportunity to engage in all facets of software development and deployment throughout the software development lifecycle. You will work closely with the Development team and other technical stakeholders to maintain, develop, and support a variety of projects in an Agile SAFe environment. This role involves designing, developing, testing, and automating innovative software solutions.

Primary Responsibilities
  • Analyze, design, code, and enhance software for new features and improved performance.
  • Implement and test C software for Linux systems.
  • Familiarity with interface communication standards/protocols such as TCP/IP, UDP, and DDS.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support software deployments and integrations.
  • Document the systems developed in a clear and comprehensive manner.
Basic Qualifications
  • Must be a U.S. Citizen capable of obtaining a SECRET clearance.
  • Bachelor's Degree and 8+ years of relevant work experience, or a Master's Degree with 6+ years of relevant experience. Additional work experience may be considered in place of a degree.
  • Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Network Engineering, or related field.
  • Extensive experience in C software development.
  • Proven ability to troubleshoot using tools like Jira, Confluence, Bamboo, Jenkins in a Linux environment.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Knowledge of interface communication standards/protocols like TCP/IP, UDP, and DDS.
  • Experience integrating software with third-party frameworks and architectures, such as RTI DDS.
  • Advanced expertise in the Linux operating system.
  • Familiarity with additional programming languages like Java and Python.
  • Experience with virtualization technologies (e.g., VMware, KVM).
  • Demonstrated experience with Docker and Kubernetes (RKE2) for containerization and management.

Pay Range: Pay Range $104,650.00 - $189,175.00
