Senior Software Developer - Full Stack PHP

Up to 70k

Belfast preferred

Nationwide presence, with multiple offices so you can be based in a different UK location.

2 days in office per week

Technologies: PHP, Laravel, React, Node, Docker, GitHub, C is a nice to have.

I am working with a client in the pensions and wealth management industry. They are looking for a skilled Senior Full Stack PHP Developer to join their team.

Responsibilities:

1. Development and maintenance of software solutions.

Essential skills:

1. Strong PHP and Laravel skills.
2. Strong experience with React, NodeJS backend, Node Package Manager (NPM).
3. Docker containerisation.
4. Writing and maintaining Unit Tests - experience with PHPUnit, Jest or similar.
5. API Development - including RESTful APIs.
6. Automated testing tools - including Selenium, Cypress, Postman.
7. SQL - coding and management with various SQL dialects including SQL, MSSQL, MySQL, PostgreSQL etc.
8. Azure Cloud Services.
9. Additional programming languages - e.g. Python, C , or other OOP is a huge benefit.
10. Excellent communication, problem solving, attention to detail, and work ethic.

Desirable skills:

1. IAC - Terraform or Ansible.
2. C experience is highly desirable, particularly coding in a recent .Net Framework.
3. Project management tools such as Jira.
4. SonarQube, GitLab, or similar for code quality analysis.
5. Security practices and tools like OWASP and Snyk, or similar.
6. Typescript.
7. CI/CD tools e.g. Jenkins, Azure pipelines, GitHub actions.
8. ELK stack, Prometheus, or Grafana.
