Primary Responsibilities - Analyze, design, program, and enhance software to introduce new features and boost performance.
- Develop and test C software tailored for Linux systems.
- Work with communication standards/protocols such as TCP/IP, UDP, and DDS.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to facilitate software deployments and integrations.
- Document developed systems comprehensively.
Basic Qualifications - Must be a U.S. Citizen eligible for a SECRET clearance.
- Bachelor's degree and a minimum of 8 years of relevant experience or a Master's degree with at least 6 years of relevant experience. Additional work experience may compensate for a degree.
- Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Network Engineering, or related field.
- Strong proficiency in C software development.
- Solid experience troubleshooting with tools like Jira, Confluence, Bamboo, Jenkins, and working in a Linux environment.
Preferred Qualifications - Familiarity with communication protocols including TCP/IP, UDP, and DDS.
- Experience integrating software within third-party frameworks like RTI DDS.
- Advanced knowledge of the Linux operating system.
- Proficient in additional programming languages, such as Java and Python.
- Experience with virtualization technologies (e.g., VMware, KVM).
- Demonstrated experience in containerization using Docker, and managing Kubernetes (RKE2).
