Walt Disney Imagineering (WDI) is the master planning, creative design, engineering, production, project management, and research and development arm of Disney's Parks and Resorts business segment. Representing more than 150 disciplines, its experienced teams of Imagineers are managing the creation of Disney resorts, theme parks and attractions, hotels, water parks, real estate developments, regional entertainment venues, cruise ships and new media technology projects
About the Role & Team
The Show Technical Production Manager (hereafter STPM) is a key member of the overall Show Project Leadership team. They partner with the Show Manager, and the Production Designer. Typically, they will join a Project during early "Blue Sky" phase, and will stay with the Project through Close-Out.
What You Will Do
- Technical Design oversight and integration of Show elements (including, Show Mechanical, Special Effects, Show Control, Show Lighting, AV, Rigging, Show Sets, Interactives physical and electronic , Show Programming, and Safety.
- Includes, and is not limited to, systems integration, media integration, compliance, coordination with our Facility and Ride design teams
- Schedule and budget oversight, Hazard Analysis, design assurance (including compliance with local Codes and Company Standards), maintainability, installation oversight, safety and testing plans
- Turnover to Operations, and final closeout documentation.
- The individual will be required to provide oversight and management to both Walt Disney Company employees, consultants, and vendors.
Required Qualifications & Skills
- Working knowledge of Theme Park Attractions
- Ability to represent Technical Integration in small and large group meetings
- History of working with local authorities on code interpretation and compliance
- Practical understanding of integrated primary and subordinate Show Systems (AV, Show Control, Show Mechanical, Lighting, Special Effects, Scenery, etc.)
- Working knowledge of Theatrical Rigging
- Ability to represent technical disciplines in design, fabrication, and integration
- Basic understanding of engineering principles (Mechanical, Electrical, Structural)
- History of managing engineering and technical teams
- History of managing Vendors and Consultants
- Strong scheduling, sequencing and time management skills
- Minimum 7 years' experience in either the Entertainment or applicable industries.
- Strong project and time management skills
- Ability to travel both domestically and internationally; relocation is a strong possibility.
Education
- Education accreditation in the Arts, or Sciences disciplines preferred.

The hiring range for this position in California is $113,800.00-$152,500.00 per year. The base pay actually offered will take into account internal equity and also may vary depending on the candidate's geographic region, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience among other factors. A bonus and/or long-term incentive units may be provided as part of the compensation package, in addition to the full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits, dependent on the level and position offered.
