System One is seeking resources for a client based in Columbus, OH to work as a Senior SharePoint Software Engineer. In this role you will play a pivotal role in enhancing SharePoint solutions. We are seeking seasoned professionals with a rich background in SharePoint server-side development to migrate and improve the company's systems effectively and who are willing to work on-site in Columbus, OH for a contract period of 12 months. This position is not open to corp-to-corp, subcontractor or independent consulting arrangements.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Migrate SharePoint server-side solutions from 2007 to 2016, ensuring a seamless transition.
  • Diagnose and resolve issues in both out-of-the-box and custom SharePoint applications, providing comprehensive root cause analysis.
  • Develop and maintain SharePoint sites, managing site collection features, lists, libraries, and permissions to optimize functionality.
  • Participate actively in system design, product specifications, and integration processes.
  • Refactor existing SharePoint applications for optimal performance on updated platforms.
  • Ensure the continued improvement of SharePoint solutions and artifacts post-migration.
  • Collaborate with team members to achieve shared goals effectively.
Qualifications:
  • 5+ years of experience in SharePoint server-side development .
  • 8+ years in a software development role, proficient in C , .NET, and ASP.NET.
  • Extensive knowledge of Microsoft Internet Information Services (IIS) and SQL Server.
  • Familiarity with authentication methods, InfoPath forms, and migration tools such as Sharegate is a plus.
  • Proven skills in web development technologies (HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript).
  • Strong understanding of web service models (SOAP, OData, REST) and client-side debugging techniques.
