The Digital Modernization Sector offers an exciting opportunity as a Senior ServiceNow Developer. This role supports the Global Solutions Management - Operations II (GSM-O II) contract at DISA, focusing on the Operations, Sustainment, Maintenance, Repair, and Defense of the Defense Information System Network (DISN) within the DOD Information Network (DODIN). You'll join a team dedicated to transforming DISA's operational mission through innovation and delivering exceptional support to mission partners.

We have a hybrid work schedule that requires occasional onsite presence at Fort Meade, Scott AFB, or Hill AFB. A minimum of a Secret clearance is required for employment, along with obtaining a Security+ certification within 14 days of starting.

As a Senior ServiceNow Developer, you'll be tasked with configuring, developing, and maintaining our ServiceNow implementation. You will collaborate with both internal and external stakeholders to understand their needs and deliver high-impact digital transformation solutions that emphasize request fulfillment and automated workflows through ServiceNow's various modules including ITIL processes.

Primary Responsibilities
  • Lead the configuration and implementation of ServiceNow's ITSM, OMT, TSM, and TSOM modules.
  • Develop and maintain Forms, Reports, Views, Workflows, Roles, and Groups.
  • Enhance Dashboards and reporting functionalities, including automated scheduled reports.
  • Integrate ServiceNow with various tools (e.g., Elastic, Netcool, Kafka).
  • Coordinate and facilitate application and platform upgrades.
  • Assist in designing and cataloging business process flows.
  • Collaborate with the ServiceNow development team to deliver solutions that are aligned with business objectives.
  • Engage in tasks to design and configure ServiceNow functions to meet operational requirements.
  • Support business process re-engineering efforts to transition ticketing and order management capabilities into ServiceNow.
  • Analyze unstructured and semi-structured customer data to enhance customer experience and improve network performance.
  • Communicate with customers to address technical considerations and resolve issues.
  • Develop, configure, and customize the ServiceNow platform per business requirements.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve technical problems.
  • Automate tasks to streamline processes.
  • Design robust ServiceNow Applications and facilitate integration with additional platforms, utilizing Agile Scrum methodologies.
  • Ensure effective project management and collaboration with engineers, developers, analysts, and other team members throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Uphold documentation best practices throughout ServiceNow development.
  • Engage with cross-functional teams to gather insights for ongoing business needs related to ServiceNow.
  • Implement UI/UX enhancements based on feedback from internal and external teams into ServiceNow development.
  • Follow established coding standards and contribute to technical code documentation.
  • Assist with data migration as required.
  • Integrate data from various sources into a unified CMDB, maintaining data quality and integrity.
  • Mentor junior developers by providing guidance and support during projects.
Basic Qualifications
  • U.S. Citizenship is required.
  • MUST obtain and maintain a security certification (e.g., Security+) that meets DOD 8570 IAT level II or higher within 14 days of hire.
  • Active DoD Secret clearance is mandatory.
  • Willingness to commute to Scott AFB, IL, Ft. Meade, MD, or Ogden, UT as needed for hybrid support.
  • 12 - 15 years of relevant experience with a Bachelor's Degree, or 10 - 13 years with a Master's Degree. Additional years of experience may substitute for a degree.
  • Minimum 6 years of experience in ServiceNow design, development, and support.
  • Proven experience with ServiceNow upgrades.
  • Strong customer service skills with a track record of multitasking and prioritizing in fast-paced environments.
  • Excellent communication skills for effective collaboration with virtual teams and managing customer briefs.
  • Demonstrated adaptability to quickly changing technologies.
  • Desire and ability to mentor junior developers.
Preferred Qualifications
  • ServiceNow Certified Application Developer.
  • Familiarity with Agile development methodologies.
  • Experience with ServiceNow applications such as TSM, TNI, and OMT.
  • Experience with tools like JIRA, Git, and Confluence.
  • Understanding of ITIL principles, preferably with certification.
  • Cloud experience with AWS and ServiceNow certifications.
  • Technical background in System Engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems, or related fields.
  • Experience with large software systems and hardware integration.
  • Familiarity working with diverse technical development teams.
  • Experience with legacy application migration.
  • Knowledge of test automation, continuous integration, and continuous deployment methodologies.
  • Experience with Scrum or Kanban for enhancing support team performance.
  • Understanding of DevOps/DevSecOps and CI/CD practices.
Onsite locations include: Fort Meade, Scott AFB, Hill AFB.

Pay Range: $126,100.00 - $227,950.00

The pay range provided is a general guideline and not an assurance of compensation. Actual salary is influenced by job responsibilities, experience, education, skills, and internal equity.
