We are seeking a Senior Security Solutions Engineer who will play a crucial role in optimizing our existing security technologies and enhancing our security processes and procedures.

The ideal candidate will be responsible for discovering, evaluating, and implementing security technologies that safeguard sensitive information. You will offer your technical expertise and analytical skills in various areas, including applications, operating systems, vendor risk management, incident response, and security awareness training.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of UniFirst's security controls environment
  • Provide expert consultation for configuring technologies managed by the IT Infrastructure team
  • Maintain and continuously enhance the security incident response plan
  • Assist in resolving security incidents while determining root causes
  • Establish baselines and monitor/report on trends and anomalies in security
  • Serve as a principal resource for escalated security incidents and their response
  • Collaborate with various teams to strengthen infrastructure, application, and database protection; provide guidance for secure software development
  • Conduct thorough examinations of system logs, applications, and network security events
  • Support the IT Operations Control Center team with security initiatives
  • Provide security consultation for application and infrastructure-related projects
  • Conduct Security Risk Assessments for both new and existing technologies
  • Play a critical role in the vulnerability management program
  • Act as a key partner in improving the overall security posture of UniFirst
Qualifications:

Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related discipline preferred, or equivalent job experience
  • CISSP certification(s) preferred
  • 5+ years of experience in a Security Engineer role
  • Familiarity with security frameworks including CIS18, NIST, and PCI
  • Experience with Incident Management programs
  • Proficiency in intrusion detection and analysis
  • Knowledge of SPLUNK, Nessus, Email gateway, O365, and Palo Alto technologies
  • Experience in monitoring, investigating, and resolving IT security concerns
  • Strong interpersonal skills, including effective written and verbal communication
  • Experience in developing and managing user awareness training programs
  • Ability to multitask and manage competing priorities
