Description

Join Leidos as a Senior Security Solutions Architect in support of our federal civil customers. In this key role, you will tackle complex challenges by leveraging cutting-edge technology, modernization initiatives, and proven methodologies. You will lead all cybersecurity initiatives for the program, which includes designing and implementing advanced cyber tools/solutions, analyzing alternatives, upgrading platforms, managing enhancement requests, and coordinating projects. A strong understanding of enterprise cybersecurity capabilities, as well as various tools and supporting software and hardware, is essential. Focus areas include security operation center tools, log and event management, vulnerability scanning and management, secure configuration management, network security, and architectural cybersecurity support.

Location: Onsite in either Fairmont, WV or Boulder, CO.

Primary Responsibilities
  • Research and leverage new technical trends, products, and services in hardware, system software, and network technologies to enhance security and efficiency across IT infrastructure.
  • Collaborate effectively with business stakeholders, engineers, and system administrators to align on program goals.
  • Provide strategic management and guidance to program engineering teams and individual contributors.
  • Act as a subject matter expert for all Cyber Security projects within the organization.
  • Engage with partners to ensure service level requirements are documented and understood in SLA agreements.
  • Develop and maintain comprehensive security architecture documentation covering operational, system, and technical views related to network defense technologies.
  • Conduct security architecture analysis and recommend strategies to strengthen data protection practices.
  • Create Standard Operating Procedures and decision analysis documentation as needed.
  • Coordinate application and platform upgrades, ensuring timely implementation with minimal disruption to IT operations.
  • Prepare reports and dashboards reflecting key performance indicators, metrics, and measures.
Basic Qualifications & Skills
  • Master's degree with 15+ years of relevant IT and/or cyber security experience. Equivalent experience may substitute for educational requirements.
  • 5+ years of expertise in implementing and managing security architecture and tools.
  • 5+ years of project management experience.
  • 5+ years of experience in IT modernization.
  • Comprehensive understanding of key cyber security tools, ensuring effective deployment and continuous improvement aligned with business needs.
  • Proven experience leading security infrastructure consolidation and modernization projects to standardize processes across large organizations, optimizing resource usage.
  • Strong communication skills with experience engaging senior stakeholders and formulating effective task plans.
  • Ability to lead high-performing, multidisciplinary teams effectively.
Additional Skills & Certifications
  • Experience in Cyber Security Operations.
  • Active CISSP certification is preferred.
  • Active DoD/Top Secret Clearance (Interim Top Secret acceptable), or TS/SCI.

Pay Range: $148,850.00 - $269,075.00

The pay range for this position is a guideline only, with offers influenced by various factors including job responsibilities, education, experience, skills, and internal equity.
