How You'll Create Possibilities Key Responsibilities: - Support a team of Tier 1-3 analysts and responders in identifying, analyzing, and responding to security incidents.
- Manage day-to-day operations of the Security Operations Center (SOC), ensuring effective incident detection and rapid response.
- Oversee development and execution of incident response playbooks, escalation procedures, and post-incident reviews.
- Optimize and tune real-time security monitoring tools such as SIEM, EDR, and threat intelligence platforms.
- Direct vulnerability scanning and remediation activities using tools like Qualys, Nessus, and Burp Suite.
- Collaborate with infrastructure and digital technology teams to implement patching cycles and system hardening.
- Support internal and external compliance efforts including SOC 2, SOX, HIPAA, and PCI-DSS.
- Partner with OT engineering teams to enhance security in industrial environments, including SCADA, PLCs, and ICS devices.
- Implement logging and monitoring strategies for OT environments, ensuring alignment with enterprise security platforms.
- Guide the development of OT-specific incident response processes to minimize operational disruption.
- Monitor and support compliance with OT-related regulations such as NERC CIP and ISA/IEC 62443.
- Help implement Zero Trust principles and segmented network designs in OT environments.
- Develop a long-term SOC roadmap aligned with enterprise cybersecurity goals.
- Lead the development of security KPIs and support board-level security reporting.
- Contribute to cybersecurity governance and architecture discussions.
- Promote a culture of excellence and continuous learning within the SOC.
- Deliver training programs focused on incident response, threat hunting, and tool proficiency.
- Collaborate with Digital Technology leadership, compliance teams, and external vendors to strengthen our security posture.
What You'll Bring to Our Team Minimum Qualifications - Bachelor's degree in Information Systems, Cybersecurity, Computer Science, or a related field.
- 7+ years of progressive experience in IT security, including at least 3 years leading SOC or cybersecurity operations teams.
- Proven ability to lead in enterprise or government security environments.
- Experience with frameworks and regulations such as RMF, NIST, CIS Controls, SOX, HIPAA, and NERC CIP.
- Hands-on experience with security technologies including SIEM (e.g., Splunk, QRadar, Sentinel), EDR, vulnerability scanners, and threat intelligence platforms.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to engage both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Preferred Qualifications - Industry certifications such as CISSP, CISM, CGRC, CCSP, PMP, or equivalent.
- Experience with OT cybersecurity frameworks such as ISA/IEC 62443, NIST SP 800-82, or NERC CIP.
- Familiarity with industrial systems including SCADA, PLC, DCS, and protocols such as Modbus and DNP3.
- Experience in defense, critical infrastructure, or public sector environments.
- Understanding of governance processes, budget management, and cross-functional project execution.
Additional Information - This role is based full-time onsite at our Louisville, KY campus.
- Occasional evening and weekend work may be required to support incident response or critical projects.
