We are seeking a highly motivated, innovative and collaborative Senior Scientist to join our Pre-clinical Antibodies and Assay Development group within the Therapeutic Proteins department. You will design, drive, and analyze antibody isolation and characterization experiments for developing monoclonal antibodies specific to lead therapeutic molecules identified from various different therapeutic areas.

As a Senior Scientist, a typical day might include the following:

  • Designing, planning, and independently performing experiments for isolating and characterizing anti-idiotypic monoclonal antibodies

  • Developing and optimizing various immunoassays from scratch

  • Documenting experimental procedures and results in a well-organized fashion and generating experimental reports

  • Synthesizing results across experiments and programs in presentations and present to colleagues and senior management, including clinical and regulatory teams

  • Collaborating closely with multiple teams across Research & Development

In order to be considered for this role, you must have at least a Ph.D. and 0-2+ years of relevant experience or a BS/MS and 8+ years of relevant experience in Immunology, Biochemistry or a related field. Industry experience is preferred. We need someone with experience in immunoassay development for in vitro protein characterization studies, such as ligand-receptor binding and/or blocking. Must have laboratory experience with ELISA and Flow cytometry. Experience with antibody isolation and characterization is required. Knowledge of how to qualify and validate immunoassays are a plus.
