We are looking for a Senior SAS Developer. The SAS Developer will join our Data Solutions team, focusing on the maintenance and support of our current SAS environment. This is a senior-level position with significant visibility, necessitating a robust understanding of our SAS systems as a whole.
MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES - Provide support for SAS and Oracle batch jobs.
- Develop and optimize SAS applications.
- Collaborate on SAS and Oracle development initiatives for the business team as needed.
- Assist ad hoc customers with SAS and Oracle queries.
QUALIFICATIONS - Strong understanding of Oracle database management and SQL programming.
- Proficient in SAS, including base SAS, macros, and Proc SQL, along with experience accessing Oracle databases.
- Ability to automate complex workflows into efficient applications.
- Proven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Experience collaborating with team members to define, document, and develop software solutions.
- Familiarity with formal Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) and change management tools (e.g., Cherwell).
- Knowledge of SAS and Oracle performance tuning techniques.
- Skilled in developing and debugging complex SAS ETL processes for Oracle databases.
- Strong focus on customer service and business needs.
- Excellent documentation and communication skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.).
- Track record of delivering high-quality work with meticulous attention to detail.
- Familiarity with one or more of the following tools:
- SAS Management Console
- SAS Metadata Server and Repository
- Job Scheduling and Load Balancing
- SAS Enterprise Guide
